About Us
Our Story
At Hall Head Dog Services, we’re dedicated to providing exceptional care for your furry family members. Our mission is to ensure every dog receives personalised attention in a calm, safe and comfortable home environment, never a kennel.
Hall Head Dog Services is led by Claire Lathouras, an experienced canine professional and former owner of WA Dog Training Academy for over 10 years, servicing the Mandurah region. With more than 20 years of experience and over 6,500 dogs trained, Claire brings a deep understanding of dog behaviour, communication and care.
Claire holds a Diploma in Dog Obedience and Behaviour Training and completed her training at one of the leading canine instructor schools in the United States, Auger’s K-9 Kollege & Animal Training Institute (New Jersey). She has also undertaken advanced study through BHARCS, an institution specialising in canine behaviour, ethology and applied psychology, along with training in Turid Rugaas methods, focusing on dog communication and behavioural modification.
Her experience spans a wide range of disciplines, including obedience, tracking, search and rescue, water rescue, agility, protection training, tricks, medical alert, companion and assistance dog training, including preparation for Public Access Testing (PAT).
While our focus is on dog minding, Claire’s background ensures every dog benefits from a calm, structured and safe environment, helping them feel understood, settled and well cared for while you’re away. Dogs of all temperaments are supported with patience, respect and individual attention.
Located on a spacious quarter acre property in Halls Head (Mandurah, WA), dogs enjoy secure outdoor areas, clean bedding, fresh filtered water and access to nearby parks and beaches. With no children, cats or high-stress surroundings, the environment is intentionally designed to support your dog’s mental wellbeing.
We understand how important your dog is to you. Every dog in our care is treated as if they were our own, with routines tailored to suit their needs and what they’re used to at home.
